Working from home today, I decided to take a little break from the grind and go on Netflix while I actually put some pants on.
And that’s when I saw it.
Netflix is now advertising all of its originals on the top of their homepage.
I mean, it makes sense as a business. Netflix has lately been pushing out so many original series’ that it’s easy for even the avid TV watcher to miss a bunch of watchable options in their binging process.
So I scrolled through the options of all the original series’. And I came across a total of…40.
Netflix, we need to talk.
Have you ever heard of the phrase, “If you’re going to do something, do it well”?
I get it, Netflix. You’re extremely successful. So successful, that you’re bumping the prices up for your loyal consumers. So why not get a little wild? You already have a few great original shows – why ONLY have a few great when you could have dozens?
Well, Netflix, these are not all great. I watched the first episode of Flaked… Netflix…what was that? Way to ruin Will Arnett.
However, it’s hard to watch you go from a source that was pulling out the ultimate classics, to the source that was pulling out…anything.
I still love you, Netflix. And I care about you deeply. But I hope you don’t become like the others.
Your concerned friend,
P.S. I am, however, suing for the emotional damage Fuller House has caused.
